Communication

Two-Way SMS

Candidates and hiring managers reply to SMS, you see and respond inside the snapshot — no app-switching, no missed replies, with full TCPA opt-in / opt-out compliance.

What this does

Every SMS the system sends — from initial application confirmation to interview reminders to offer notifications — supports replies. When a candidate or hiring manager texts back, the message lands inside the snapshot, attached to their record. Your recruiter sees it in their inbox and replies inline.

Recruiters never have to context-switch to a separate texting app. Candidates never have to remember which thread they were in. Every conversation is logged on the record.

Why this matters

SMS has 98% open rates and ~7-minute median reply times. Email has 25% open rates and 2-day reply times. For a recruiter, the difference between SMS and email is the difference between a placement made and a placement lost.

But SMS only works if you can manage the volume. Without inbox infrastructure, recruiters drop balls — and worse, they reply from their personal phones, which creates compliance and continuity problems. The snapshot’s unified inbox solves both.

How it’s configured

Each recruiter (or each branded phone number) has an inbox. Inbound SMS routes to the right inbox based on the candidate’s assigned recruiter. Group inboxes (e.g., “Healthcare team”) are supported for shared coverage.

TCPA compliance is baked in: opt-in capture at intake (with timestamp + IP for audit), STOP keyword auto-handling, opt-out lists scrubbed before any outbound send. Your firm stays compliant by default, not by recruiter discipline.
